Heather MacRae is a young artist (b.1994) who is early on in her career. She has resided in Southern Ontario for most of her life, and is a recent graduate from the University of Guelph where she completed a double major in Studio Art and Geography. This double major allowed her to balance her passion for creating art with her love of the outdoors, and her interest in learning how to sustainably manage our natural environment.

Heather won the Painting Award at the University of Guelph in 2016 and has been involved in several group exhibitions and events within the last few years. She enjoys painting with both oils and acrylics, and is not quite ready to box herself into just one style. Some recurring themes throughout her work are still life, wildlife, landscape, and abstract.

Her work can now be found at the Edge Gallery (http://theedgeartgallery.ca/) in Downtown Barrie, Ontario
